How much does a new website cost?

There’s not one single answer to this question. A website design is quoted based on the needs of each individual project. Every website is unique and requires different components; we design and develop custom websites specifically for your small business. We’ll ask a lot of questions, assess your needs, and give you a quote based on that assessment. Most of our sites run in the Rs.25,000 – Rs.50,000 range, but can be more or less depending on needs.

What exactly are Managed IT Services?

Simply put, BossLinks Managed IT Services means we take care of your entire information technology requirement. We manage all your hardware and software sourcing, installation, technical support, and IT staffing needs. It also means NanoSoft acts as your go-to consultancy and support team, providing scheduled maintenance and upgrading of your systems, along with emergency assistance to keep your business up and running.

Will you maintain my site for me?

We can! We provide ongoing support for many of our clients

What kind of response times can I expect?

We work with each client to establish specific expectations. Our measurable service levels specify clear consequences for not living up to agreed-upon expectations.

When do I pay?

For most projects, equal payments are made at the start, midway, and the end of the project, but we can work with you to set up a schedule that meets your needs. We understand that this is a big investment and want to help you budget for the expense in whatever way possible.

We accept checks, PayPal, and all major credit cards.

Will I own the source code?

Yes, you will be assigned appropriate copyright or licence rights for the bespoke code that we write for your project. We are transparent with intellectual property rights, and you will have the opportunity to review our code ownership terms before the project begins.

Can you deliver my project quicker?

In some cases yes, in others, no.

Sometimes, by dedicating more developer resources to a project, it can be completed much faster. But in other situations, we may be restricted by the project, technology or security requirements.

If you have a date requirement, contact us as soon as possible so we can do our very best to meet it.

What programming languages and frameworks do you use?

We like to use open source languages wherever possible with HTML, CSS and JavaScript on the front end, and JavaScript or PHP on the back end. We use React Native for most mobile app projects, but will sometimes use Cordova or PhoneGap should we be working within tight budgets or need to support web, Android and iOS quickly.

For web apps, we use frontend layout frameworks such as bootstrap, foundation, material and SemanticUI in combination with front-end code frameworks such as React or Angular. On the back-end, we usually use a PHP framework such as Laravel or Yii2, with the occasional project in NodeJS.

How will you handle project payments from us?

For small requests, typically £1,000 – £5000, we will invoice a 50% opening deposit and a final 50% deposit on completion of the work.

For larger scopes of work, we will split the payments over the life of the project at monthly intervals. For example, a £12,000 project over three months would divide into four instalments of £3k (25% each).

Any planning day fees are due in advance of the initial planning day meeting.

We work this way because it supports your cash flow, and means that you don’t have to pay too much money upfront in advance of seeing some output from us.

Where should my website be hosted?

Hosting is super important! When it comes to hosting, you get what you pay for. We’ve developed a list of our absolute favourite hosts to help you find the right host at the right price.

What does having Managed IT Services cost?

Our service model uses a fixed monthly fee, which is based on the size and complexity of your particular network. Once contracted, your Managed IT Services will cover maintenance and support for every component of your network, providing you with peace of mind and the ability to accurately forecast your IT maintenance costs.

How much input do I have in the process?

A lot! Your input and feedback are crucial to this process. We’ll start with a lot of questions about your needs, your likes, your wants and work with you to develop just the right look and functionality.

How much does social media marketing cost? What’s the ROI?

One thing is for certain – social media marketing is never free. Whether you’re spending your own valuable time on it, asking an employee to add it to their workload, hiring a social media employee, or outsourcing to a marketing firm, there is always a cost. The key is to get the maximum ROI out of the time or money you put into it. It’s important to remember, however, that ROI doesn’t have to mean revenue. It can, but it can also mean meeting other objectives, such as getting new leads, increasing email subscriptions, or even boosting customer satisfaction. The ROI you end up with is the direct result of how focused your social media marketing strategy is.

What kind of support will I receive throughout the development process?

You will be assigned a dedicated project manager, who will be your primary point of contact throughout the development process.

All of your requests and questions are managed through our support portal, to ensure we give you a swift response, and your work is prioritised appropriately. We also offer a range of support and maintenance options to ensure we are responsive to your requests after the launch date.

Can you build apps for both iOS and Android?

Yes, most of the apps we make support both iOS and Android mobile platforms. It’s common for people to want their applications to work across web and mobile devices, so we use development frameworks such as React and React native that enable us to quickly support both platforms.

Can you help me write content for my website?

Yes. We include copywriting and editing in all of our proposals. We also build your sitemap and help structure the foundation of your website in the planning stages.

Can I make changes to my app or website after its launched?

Yes, in fact, we highly recommend that you begin by launching the simplest possible version of your vision first and continue to adapt it over time. This staged approach is called launching a “minimum viable product” (MVP).

The idea behind launching an MVP is that you’ve inevitably made assumptions, and you can’t test these assumptions until you release something to the world. By releasing a lean first version, you can test your assumptions and use this information to decide on the priorities of future requirements. It reduces engineering waste.

We have some options around making future changes to your app or website.

Can you provide hosting for our website or app?

Yes.

If you have a site or app with small resource requirements, then we can host your project on our managed servers. If you have specific hosting requirements, intensive resource demands, or require something more specialist, then we can set you up with your own dedicated, cloud, or load balanced hosting environment.

For example, if you need to handle high volumes of processing and traffic globally then we may opt for a bespoke multi-server hosting setup using Amazon’s EC2, Cloud Front, Elastic Load Balancer and S3 storage facilities.

Should you be unsure of what you require, one option is to start with a simple hosting package first, and then move to a more advanced configuration if your needs grow.
